Fifth Fall - [Action for house 40/Voice]
[This can't be real. None of this can be real. It's just some sort of bad dream, right? It has to be.
Staring into his room, Naoi just stands there in the doorway, looking around at everything that's visible. All of his things are gone. His bed sheets are folded in a way Otonashi wouldn't do, no clothes hanging about to be washed. There's nothing.
He charges into the room, dropping the farewell present that he had been holding so tightly in his hands to search about the room for something--anything to prove that he really isn't gone. He practically flips the mattress on it's side, nothing. Flings open the closet door, nothing. Searches through the desk drawers, nothing.
It's as if... he never even existed in this world.
Before he can stop himself, he starts to yell, to the point where neighbors might hear]
I am God!! God is the only one who decides when someone can leave!! I did not ... I didn't... [The words get caught in his throat as the tears that had built up in his eyes this whole time start to flow over. He doesn't make any attempt to stop them either. He simply falls on his knees and begins to sob.
Just this once, God will cry.
How could he have let this happen? Both himself and Otonashi? This was their second chance... weren't they supposed to make the most of it together? ]
Otonashi you promised... you promised you wouldn't leave me.... [so why? Now he's all alone again...]
[A little while later, when Naoi has his anger and tears under.. decent control, he opens his journal]
Yuzuru Otonashi is gone. [Then he closes the journal. He has nothing left to say. There is nothing else to say.
His best friend is gone and that's that.]

Would you shut up you brat?! Otonashi is gone! Sent home! Dead!
[That last word makes him cringe a little but he's not taking it back now. It's the truth. Otonashi is back to being dead with a capital D]

[ Yuri goes and puts a hand on Yotsuba's shoulder, not looking at Naoi. ]
We're already dead. Even if we're alive here, that's what we have to go back to. He's the one whose idea it was that we needed to move on. If he found a way back and did this on purpose, then that was because it's what he needed to do. If he didn't do it on purpose, then it's not his fault. Either way, it's done.
[ Yuri's voice doesn't appear to be cold, but she's still remaining steady. That tone she gets when she knows that it's not something that can be helped, even if she knows it means that they've lost something. Like when she'd accepted Otonashi's idea to help everyone get over their problems. Like she's taken a step back from her feelings about it. ]
Yotsuba, Otonashi went home.

[For once it seems she actually doesn't know what to say. The explanation is a little confusing to her, hearing Otonashi had gone back home where he was dead, but then again she never knew anything about any of their lives back home. It's not like she asked.
But either way, gone or dead or whatever, Otonashi isn't here anymore. And that's... Really upsetting. He was the one who took her in and gave her a home when she first arrived.]
He'll come back, right?

[At least Naoi didn't say no on that one. He wants to believe that Otonashi really will come back one day. Not for Yotsuba or anyone else's sake, but his own. Without him here, nothing feels right anymore.
This second chance? Pointless. Trying to make pottery again? Pointless. No one will acknowledge him here. He doesn't want anyone too, just Otonashi.]

[ That was something new. The thought of someone coming back after disappearing. That small hope was almost worse than knowing it's not possible, because it meant that she could want it.
That wouldn't help Naoi though would it? ]
We have to figure out what we're going to do.
[ Since she was pretty sure that right now, Naoi wouldn't just go along with whatever she said. ]

It's a little strange for Yotsuba to be thinking in such a pessimistic way. Normally her dad would be here to check on her until she was happy again, or at least spur her on. All she got here was a 'shut up brat' and a 'who knows'.
Slumping against Yuri's side and keeping quiet. Maybe she's sulking, or thinking to herself about what's going on. It's hard to tell right now.]

[The silence from Yotsuba is actually nice for a change. Not that it's helping Naoi calm down significantly, but it helped at least somewhat. So now he stands up, walks over to the hat he dropped on the floor and puts it on.]

,small>[ She really doubts Naoi's ability to listen to her. While she's speaking, she's gently rubbing Yotsuba's back with the hand that had been on her shoulder. ]
Like it or not, we have to figure out like.. what we're going to do, unless you're planning on sitting around here and moping until he comes back.

Burying her head into Yuri's side and keeping still as the 'grown-ups' talk things out.]

[Because. Lol. Naoi cooking.]

Well that's one way to get back to the afterlife. [ Enjoy starving, Naoi. ]

And maybe plan to run away or something. Yup.]

You can enjoy the afterlife with Yotsuba. I have other plans.
